Questions people ask
Is it free?
Yes. Downloading is free with no limits on quality. Ads keep the service running, and we keep them away from the download buttons.
Do I need an account or an app?
No. It works in any modern browser on iPhone, Android, Windows, Mac and Linux. You can install it as an app if you like, but you don't have to.
Can I download private posts or stories?
No. We only fetch public posts that anyone can see without logging in. Private accounts, friends-only posts and most stories need a login, so they can't be downloaded.
Where do the files go?
To your browser's normal download folder. On iPhone that's the Files app (Downloads); from there you can save videos to Photos.
Is it legal?
Downloading for personal use is allowed in many places, but the content still belongs to its creator. Only download what you own or have permission to use, and credit the creator if you share it. Our Copy credit button makes that easy.
Why doesn't YouTube work?
YouTube's terms don't allow downloading outside its own app, so we don't support it.
